2Baba

2Baba seems to be the oldest and also the most experienced on the list. 2Baba has received one MTV Europe Music Award, one World Music Award, five Headies Awards (Hip-hop award), four Channel O Music Video Awards and one BET award for his musical work, four MTV Africa Music Awards, one MOBO award, one KORA award, and numerous additional nominations.
D'Banj

D’Banj is currently best known internationally for his 2012 summer hit “Oliver Twist”, an uptempo dance fusion of Afrobeat and electronic dance music that topped the African charts 2011 and was a top 10 hit in the UK singles chart in 2012 reaching No. 2 on the UK R&B chart. He currently has 29 major awards from 87 major nominations.
Wizkid

Wizkid was ranked 5th on Forbes and Channel O’s 2013 list of the Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artists. In February 2014, Wizkid became the first ever Nigerian musician to have over 1 million followers on Twitter. Moreover, he became the first Afro-beats artist to appear in the 2018 Guinness World Records for his contribution to Drake’s hit song “One Dance”.
Davido

On November 30,2017 Davido won the best African act at the MOBO Awards and also became the first African act to perform live at the awards. On June 24, 2018, Davido became the first African-based artist to have received his award on the BET Awards main stage. His award was presented by Hollywood actor Omari Hardwick and actress Tika Sumpter. In his acceptance speech, he urged patrons and American artists to visit Africa and also enjoy the food. Omo mehn these guys have taken our music to the highest level. Their various endorsement deals, ability to explore and work with internationally recognized artistes have gained them so much popularity globally.
